Because the working environment of automobile air conditioners is relatively harsh, in order to pursue higher heat exchange performance, the condenser in car engine adopts forced convection air cooling, which successively undergoes tube-fin type, tube-band type, multiple parallel flow type and other structural forms.
1. Gilled tube type
The gilled tube condenser in car engine is an earlier form of heat exchanger. It is a conventional heat exchanger. It is generally composed of round tubes and various types of fins. The fins and the heat transfer tubes are connected by expansion tubes. The gilled tube condenser has poor thermal efficiency, but requires a simple structure and low processing cost, so it is still used in large and medium-sized automobile air conditioners.
2. Tube-fin type
The structural feature of the tube-fin condenser is the use of perforated flat tubes and corrugated fins to expand the surface, and the heat exchange area per unit volume is large, which is a compact heat exchanger. The tube-strip condenser has a large heat transfer area, high heat transfer coefficient and low thermal resistance, but at the same time the flow resistance is much larger than that of the tube-sheet type.
3. Parallel flow condenser
The structure of the advection condenser is very similar to that of the tube and belt type. It is also a compact heat exchanger. It is developed from the tube and belt condenser and is composed of perforated flat tubes and corrugated louver fins. Because each flat tube of the advection condenser is cut off, and there are headers at both ends, depending on whether the header is segmented, it can be divided into multiple advection and unit advection. The heat exchange performance of the advection condenser is further improved, and it has the advantages of high heat exchange coefficient, light weight, compact structure, and less refrigerant charge.
