The hose of the truck radiator will be aged and easily broken after long-term use. If the hose breaks during driving when water enters the truck radiator, the high-temperature water sprayed out will form a large cloud of water vapor from under the hood. In such an emergency situation, you should immediately choose a safe place to stop and take effective measures:
1. Under normal circumstances, water leakage is caused by a crack in the joint of the hose. You can cut the damaged part with scissors, and then reinsert the hose into the truck radiator water inlet joint and fasten it firmly with a clip or wire. If the crack is in the middle of the hose, first wipe the crack to keep it clean, and then wrap it with tape. Because the water pressure in the hose is high when the engine is working, the crack must be tightened.
2. If you don't have adhesive tape on hand, you can also wrap the plastic paper around the crack first, then cut the old cloth into strips and wrap it around the hose. Sometimes the hose has a large crack and water may still leak after wrapping. At this time, the water tank cover can be opened to reduce the pressure in the water channel and reduce leakage.
3. After taking the above measures, the engine speed should not be too fast, and high-end driving should be carried out as much as possible. Pay attention to the pointer position of the water temperature meter during driving. If the water temperature is too high, stop to cool down or add cooling water.
When encountering such emergencies, we can take the above three steps to make emergency response. However, in daily maintenance, we can often check whether the water tank is short of water. Lack of water means that there is a leak in a certain place. If the water pipe that can be seen is slightly broken, there will be water stains in the broken place, and there will be water droplets in the serious case. The location is mostly at the pipe water connection port; you can just touch the water pipe connection for water stains where you can't see it. In some places, you can also use a small mirror to reflect and observe. By checking frequently, we can eliminate hidden dangers in advance to avoid the truck radiator hose rupture during driving.
